Women’s Day Lunch

Scrub The Stigma Cambridge hosted our first International Women’s Day Lunch at Giggling Squid, a beautiful restaurant in the city centre of Cambridge. The event centred around ‘Give to Gain’, the theme of International Women’s Day 2026.
We were joined by university students, working professionals and other members of our growing Cambridge community. Following a welcome from Perpetual (Cambridge Co-President 2025-26), Yasmin (Head of Universities) delivered an inspiring speech on the aims, pillars and mission of Scrub The Stigma, and how we can all 'Give To Gain'.
Our attendees engaged in discussions on women’s experiences on the themes of empowerment, equity, community and inter-generational experiences, while enjoying a delicious Thai meal.
